About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, hard-workingLabourer to join our growing construction team based in Newton Abbot. You will be working on a variety of local projects, supporting our skilled tradespeople and ensuring job sites run safely and efficiently.
This is a permanent, directly employed position offering job stability and consistent local work.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting skilled trades (carpenters, bricklayers, groundworkers) on-site.
- Loading, unloading, and moving building materials and equipment.
- Preparing work areas and keeping sites clean, tidy, and safe.
- Operating basic tools and equipment safely.
- General site maintenance and varied manual handling tasks as required.
Requirements & Experience
- Experience: Previous experience working on a construction site is preferred, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential.
- Licence: A valid UK Driving Licence (and your own transport to get to site) is preferred.
- CSCS Card: Preferred (or willingness to obtain one).
- Attributes: Punctual, physically fit, reliable, and able to work well as part of a team.
