We are seeking a Project Manager (Midlands) to implement and sustain a high standard of project delivery, enhancing ISS's position within the project market and supporting growth across existing customer accounts.
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced project professional to lead the tactical development and delivery of Capital Projects and Minor Works (MAC), managing projects from inception through to completion while overseeing resources, commercial governance, compliance, risk management, and supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the tactical development and delivery of Capital Projects and Minor Works (MAC).
- Manage projects through the full lifecycle from conception to completion.
- Support the growth of project opportunities across existing customer accounts.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, key accounts, global operations, and external customers.
- Take accountability for project financial performance aligned with business objectives.
- Develop delivery models and manage resources across multiple concurrent projects.
- Ensure robust commercial governance, compliance, and risk management practices are maintained.
- Manage and develop supply chain performance while implementing best practice processes and procedures to ensure a high standard of service.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Skills & Experience
- Expertise within a Construction, Engineering, or Built Environment discipline.
- Experience delivering projects including; Asset Replacement Programmes, Roofing Projects, CAT A and CAT B Refurbishments and New Modular Buildings.
- Experience working under NEC4 contracts.
- Experience using RIBA stages.
- Experience working in accordance with CDM regulations.
- Demonstrable ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven experience operating at Project Manager level within the Building Projects and/or Facilities Management industry.
- Demonstrable track record of successfully managing multiple projects and programmes with values ranging from £500k to £1m+.
- Demonstrable experience managing Health & Safety compliance.
- Experience running complex tenders, estimating project costs, and presenting high-quality tender documentation to customers.
Qualifications & Requirements
- SMSTS qualification.
- Asbestos Awareness qualification.
- First Aid qualification.
- HNC qualification (or equivalent) in a technical or management discipline.
- Recognised Project Management qualification such as Prince2, APMP, PMP, or equivalent.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability and flexibility to travel nationally as required.
- Ability to successfully obtain BPSS and CTC security clearance.
