About Us
We're a family-run soft play and café business looking for an experienced Head Chef /Lead Chef to take ownership of our busy kitchen operation.
We're looking for someone who enjoys being part of a growing business and wants the opportunity to make a real impact. This is a hands-on lead Chef role where you'll be actively involved in preparing and cooking food, leading the team during service, maintaining high standards, and helping build systems and procedures that keep everything running smoothly.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing, cooking, and serving food to a consistently high standard
- Leading from the front and supporting the team during busy service periods
- Leading and supporting the kitchen team day-to-day
- Putting procedures and systems in place to help the kitchen run efficiently
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
- Managing stock, ordering, deliveries, and minimising waste
- Taking ownership of food safety, HACCP, allergen management, and health & safety compliance
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and audit-ready
- Working closely with the owners to improve standards, service, and profitability
What We're Looking For
- Experience leading a busy kitchen as a Head Chef, or a strong Sous Chef ready for the next step
- Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and leads by example
- Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and kitchen compliance
- Organised, proactive, and able to maintain high standards during even the busiest periods
- Someone who takes pride in running a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen
- A genuine passion for food, with high standards when it comes to quality, consistency, and presentation
