Job Title: Stores Assistant
Job Purpose
To efficiently manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and stock within a busy stores environment, ensuring accurate inventory control and timely supply of goods to internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and process deliveries of goods and materials.
- Store products safely and in designated locations.
- Pick, pack, and issue materials according to business requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
- Ensure the stores area is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Operate material handling equipment where authorized (e.g., pallet trucks,).
- Assist with stock audits and inventory investigations.
- Collect orders from local suppliers
Skills and Experience
- Experience working in a busy stores, warehouse, or stock control environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Competent computer skills and experience using stock management systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
