About the Role
As the Deputy Manager, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring the smooth and effective running of our care service. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the business, maintaining compliance with CQC standards and promoting a culture of excellence and compassion.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and reviewing person-centred care plans in line with individual needs
- Conducting assessments, risk assessments, and regular care reviews
- Carrying out audits to ensure quality and compliance standards are met
- Supporting rota management and ensuring appropriate cover for all care visits
- Participating in the on-call rota and responding to emergencies as required
- Leading, motivating, and supporting the care team to deliver outstanding service
- Assisting with recruitment, induction, and ongoing staff development
- Working proactively with clients, families, staff, and external professionals
- Ensuring all documentation and records are maintained accurately and promptly
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need to be:
- Experienced in domiciliary or home care management or a senior care role
- Confident in leading and developing staff teams
- Organised, proactive, and able to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledgeable about CQC regulations and best practice in care delivery
- Competent in using care management and rostering systems
- A strong communicator with excellent people and problem-solving skills
Essential requirements:
- Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (minimum) – working towards or willing to undertake Level 5
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Previous experience in domiciliary/home care
