Driving Force Recruitment Ltd, operating as an Employment Business, are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Night Drivers for an established transport operation based in Newton-le-Willows.
We have ongoing Monday to Friday night work available, offering regular shifts and consistent start times.
Both ADR and non-ADR drivers are welcome, with an enhanced hourly rate available for drivers holding a valid ADR qualification.
The Role
This is predominantly Class 1 night trunking work, transporting palletised freight between depots and partner sites across the UK.
You will be driving curtainsider trailers, including double-deck and straight-frame trailers.
Duties will include:
- Depot-to-depot trunking
- General haulage / palletised freight
- Minimal manual handling
- Completing daily vehicle and trailer checks
- Ensuring loads are safe and secure
- Keeping in contact with the transport team throughout your shift
- Completing all relevant paperwork and tachograph requirements
- Maintaining high standards of safe and professional driving
Shift Pattern
Monday to Friday nights
Start times: Approximately 19:00–20:00
This is ongoing work, making it ideal for drivers looking for regular weekday night shifts rather than ad-hoc agency work.
Pay Rates
PAYE – Holiday Pay Accrued Separately
- £18.00ph – Non-ADR
- £19.00ph – ADR
PAYE – Rolled-Up Holiday Pay
- £20.17ph – Non-ADR
- £21.29ph – ADR
Weekly pay.
What We Need From You
To be considered, you must have:
- Valid HGV Class 1 / Cat C+E licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 12 months' Class 1 driving experience
- Maximum 6 points for minor offences
- No DD, DR, IN, CD or TT endorsements
- Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time regulations
- Professional and reliable approach to work
ADR is NOT essential – non-ADR Class 1 drivers are also required.
