“Do you want to do the right thing, the right way?” At Laburnum Care Group we don’t just provide care; we create safe, meaningful lives for the people we support. We are looking for compassionate, values-driven wellbeing support practitioners who are committed to delivering trauma-informed, person-centred care for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. If you believe in dignity, respect, and doing what’s right… we want to hear from you.
What you’ll do:
In this role, you’ll bring person‑centred support to life by making each individual’s voice, choice, and aspirations the driving force behind everything you do. You’ll help people build daily living skills, grow their independence, and open doors to meaningful social, recreational, and vocational opportunities. Your approach will be holistic, supporting physical, emotional, and social wellbeing while using the Active Support model and Positive Behaviour Support to nurture confidence, resilience, and life skills. You’ll work hand‑in‑hand with a diverse multidisciplinary team, keeping high‑quality records and upholding dignity, respect, equality, and inclusion in every interaction. Every day, you’ll play a key role in empowering people to live fuller, richer, more connected lives.
What we’re looking for:
- Care Certificate or equivalent
- Experience providing care or support in health or social care settings
- Ability to make appropriate autonomous decisions within your skill level
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, tailored to individual needs
- ICT skills
- Resilience, adaptability, emotional intelligence, and problem‑solving skills
- A compassionate, person‑centred approach
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility and responsiveness in dynamic care environments
Patience and emotional regulation in high‑pressure situations
Why join us?
At Laburnum, you’ll step into a supportive and inclusive environment where your compassion and values genuinely matter. You’ll have access to ongoing training and development, real opportunities to grow your skills and build your career, and the chance to make a meaningful difference every single day. It’s a place where your commitment is recognised, your growth is encouraged, and the impact you make truly counts. This is more than a job, it’s about showing up every day and asking ‘am I doing the right thing, the right way’.
