Assistant Manager - Beauty Edit Mayfair
Full time, five days per week including Saturdays Competitive salary plus commission and bonus.
My name is Sherrille Riley. I opened Beauty Edit Mayfair on Berkeley Street in September 2023, and I am looking for someone to run my floor.
I have spent nearly thirty years in this industry. I started at the Harrods spa in the late nineties and went on to build Nails & Brows Mayfair at number 31 Berkeley Street in 2014. I am a Black woman with a passion for professional beauty, and Beauty Edit Mayfair is what I built.
What I built is a clean beauty concept store and facial suite. Everything on the shelves is curated on results. We know our products well enough to tell a customer when something is not for her, and we know how our formulations perform across every skin tone, including darker skin.
As a founder, you would be working alongside me, not for a head office three hundred miles away.
The role
You would be running the floor.
You are the person our customers meet and the person the team turns to. You would keep the shop trading well, the facial suite running to time, and the team confident enough to talk about the products properly.
We are a small team, so this is a hands-on role. You would be part of the day rather than above it.
What the days look like
Selling. Leading from the floor and helping customers find what genuinely suits them, while working towards daily and monthly targets alongside the team. It is consultative rather than pushy, and it starts with being able to hold a conversation about skin.
Running the day. Opening and closing, floats and banking, the appointment diary, treatment room turnaround, stock counts, deliveries and visual standards.
The team. Rotas, briefings, training newer members, and keeping the standard steady in a way that brings people with you.
Product knowledge. Learning the range properly, including how each formulation behaves across different skin tones. I am glad to teach you what you do not yet know.
Customers. Knowing our regulars by name, noticing when something is not quite right before it becomes a complaint, and following up afterwards.
What I am looking for
- Two years or more managing or supervising in retail, beauty or hospitality, ideally somewhere you carried a sales target
- Confidence on a shop floor and warmth with people you have not met before
- A real interest in skincare. Product knowledge can be taught, so what matters most is that you want to learn it
- Reliability. This is five days a week including Saturdays
- Someone who takes guidance well and can pass it on kindly
- Right to work in the UK
Useful, but not essential
- Beauty therapy or facial qualifications
- Shopify POS, Phorest or a similar booking system
- Knowledge of clean beauty, K-beauty or independent skincare brands
- Independent retail rather

Pay: £29,420.00-£33,000.00 per year
