The Opportunity
PPM Support is looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Business Development Executive to join our growing team in Pontypool, South Wales.
We provide specialist storage, logistics, inventory management and operational support to some of London’s leading hotels, restaurants and hospitality businesses.
This is a varied position combining business development, sales, marketing, social media and operational support, with the primary focus being on generating new opportunities and helping grow the PPM Support client base.

What You'll Be Doing
Sales & Business Development
- Researching and identifying new business opportunities
- Prospecting potential clients by telephone, email and LinkedIn
- Building relationships with key decision-makers
- Following up leads and managing prospects through the sales pipeline
- Arranging and attending client meetings
- Developing relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Occasionally travelling to London for client meetings, exhibitions, networking and hospitality events
- Helping drive the continued growth of PPM Support
- Working towards agreed business development targets
- Earning additional performance-related bonus/commission for achieving agreed results
Marketing & Social Media
- Creating engaging content for LinkedIn and other social media platforms
- Managing PPM Support's social media presence
- Supporting sales and marketing campaigns
- Helping develop creative ideas to promote the business
- Showcasing our services, projects and client successes
- Supporting exhibitions, events and networking opportunities
Operations
We believe the best person to sell our service should understand exactly how we deliver it.
As part of your training, you'll learn the day-to-day operational side of PPM Support and our PPM Support - Access portal.
You'll be trained to:
- Process client orders and requests
- Arrange and coordinate deliveries and collections
- Liaise with clients, drivers and our warehouse team
- Log and update client inventory
- Maintain accurate information on the PPM Support - Access portal
- Monitor orders through to completion
- Respond to day-to-day client enquiries
- Provide operational support during busy periods
- Provide cover for our Operations Executive during holidays and other periods of absence
Full training will be provided on our systems and operational processes.
Who We're Looking For
Ideally, you'll have 1–3 years' experience within sales, business development, marketing or another commercial role.
We're looking for someone who is:
- Confident, personable and professional
- Comfortable picking up the phone and approaching new prospects
- Naturally good at building relationships
- Ambitious and motivated by achieving results
- Creative and interested in marketing and social media
- A strong written and verbal communicator
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable learning new systems and processes
- Able to manage multiple priorities
- Happy working independently and as part of a close-knit team
- Willing to occasionally travel to London
Experience within hotels, restaurants, hospitality or luxury hospitality would be a strong advantage but isn't essential.
