The Role
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Trainee Dental Nurse who is also happy to support our front-of-house reception team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in dental nursing while gaining valuable administrative experience.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical (Trainee Dental Nurse):
- Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatments
- Preparing and sterilising instruments and equipment
- Maintaining high standards of infection control and cross-contamination procedures
- Preparing and maintaining the clinical environment
- Supporting patient care and ensuring comfort throughout procedures
- Keeping accurate patient records in line with practice policies
Reception Duties:
- Welcoming patients and providing a friendly first point of contact
- Managing appointment bookings and diary coordination
- Answering phone calls and responding to patient enquiries
- Handling patient records and administrative tasks
- Processing payments and maintaining confidentiality at all times
Requirements
- A keen interest in dental nursing and willingness to enrol on a recognised training course (if not already enrolled)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Professional, reliable, and well-presented
- Basic IT skills
- Previous customer service experience is desirable but not essential
