The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the Quality Management System is maintained to a standard that meets and exceeds internal, customer and regulatory requirements. Responsible for assisting the Quality Engineer in ensuring product quality and daily monitoring and reporting of issues within production, stores areas and to the suppliers as required
Responsibilities
- Feedback quality issues to relevant Supplier & internal departments
- Raise Quality alerts and ensure follow through with operations
- Control on non-conforming parts and support MRB process
- Manage Supplier scrap/rework as required, engaging in the RTV process
- Daily management of supplier FAIRS’s
- Daily planning of goods in inspection team
- Carry out Product and Process audits
- Maintain sample library
- Maintain 5S standards
- Provide detailed and accurate analysis reports
- Categorise failure modes
- Analyse quality data & conduct evidence-based root cause investigations
- Support monitoring and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Supplier Quality team
- Ensure that procedures are met, and relevant paperwork completed to ensure full traceability
- Promote quality principles throughout the production process.
- Deputise for the Supplier Quality Engineer as required

Requirements
Essential
- 2 years’ experience in a Quality/ Supplier Quality role supporting production/ operations or manufacturing environments.
- Experience of using Quality tools such as 3C, 8D etc.
- Experience of using MS Excel
- Experience of using a Quality Management System.
- Experience or involvement in Quality/ Customer Audits
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines to support the release of orders for customer shipments
- Ability to use various measuring devices and equipment - meters, gauges, etc.
Desirable
- Background in working in Aerospace manufacturing sector
- 3rd level qualification in a relevant discipline
- Previous experience of working as a Quality Technician or Quality Inspector.
