Location: Mablethorpe - with travel across the service area (milage covered)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday - flexible start time between 07.00am and 09.00am
Pay Rate: £54,490 per year, pro rata for the temporary period.
THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSTION, with a current need for 2 months cover (covering an absence of currently undetermined duration)
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Temporary Service Manager to provide targeted operational and strategic support to our Client's Group Manager and Operations Manager.
Role requirements:
- Identify and implement system, data and performance improvements to drive greater service efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support workforce development, team capability and succession planning across operational services.
- Assist with the delivery of major projects, including initiatives relating to parks, green spaces and wider neighbourhood services.
- Lead digital alignment activities, supporting the implementation and successful roll-out of new systems, technologies and ways of working.
- Support budget management and financial monitoring, helping to establish effective service frameworks, processes and controls.
- Monitor contract performance and support effective management of suppliers, contractors and external partners.
- Support the development of commercial opportunities and income generation across the service.
- Provide wider operational and strategic management support as required by the Group Manager.
- Work collaboratively with managers and teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and deliver measurable outcomes.
About you:
- Strong experience in operational or service management, ideally within a complex public service or comparable environment.
- Experience of using data, systems and performance information to identify improvements and drive service efficiency.
- Strong understanding of workforce development, organisational capability and performance management.
- Experience of supporting or delivering projects and service transformation initiatives.
- Experience of budget management, financial monitoring and commercial awareness.
- Experience of managing or monitoring contracts, suppliers and contractors.
- Strong digital skills and the ability to support the implementation of new systems and technologies.
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to work strategically while maintaining a strong understanding of operational delivery.
- A proactive, flexible and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to quickly establish priorities and deliver within a temporary assignment.
