The School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering is one of the largest centres for built environment education in the UK. We bring together outstanding facilities, superb teaching, world leading research and excellent colleagues. We currently rank 1st in the UK for Architecture and 1st in the UK for Building (Complete University Guide 2027).
What we’re looking for a Lecturer in Structures and Materials
Successful candidates will have a sustained and continuing record of excellence which has contributed to the furtherance of knowledge in this discipline and which is recognised in a well-established and high-profile international reputation. Evidence of significant academic leadership and a PhD, or equivalent research experience, are also essential. The successful applicant will contribute to the development and delivery of teaching (in structures, materials and geotechnics) and research in this discipline to enhance the School’s existing work.
The appointment will be on a full time, open-ended contract and the salary will be on Grade 7 (£47,389 to £56,535 per annum) at a starting salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
