Job Purpose
The Assistant Manager plays a key role in supporting the Branch Manager with the day-to-day operation of the Just Tyres branch. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, achieving sales and performance targets, managing staff, and ensuring safe, efficient workshop and retail operations.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales
· Deliver outstanding customer service at all times, ensuring customers receive honest advice and a positive experience.
· Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and escalations professionally and efficiently.
· Support the achievement of sales targets, KPIs, and branch profitability.
· Promote Just Tyres products and services, including tyres, alignments, brakes, and additional services.
Operations & Compliance
· Assist in overseeing daily branch operations, ensuring smooth workflow between front-of-house and workshop teams.
· Ensure all health & safety, legal, and company procedures are followed at all times.
· Maintain high standards of housekeeping, stock control, and security.
· Support stock ordering, deliveries, and inventory management.
Team Leadership & Development
· Support the Branch Manager in supervising, motivating, and developing the branch team.
· Assist with staff training, coaching, and performance management.
· Lead by example, promoting a positive, professional, and customer-focused culture.
· Act as Duty Manager in the Branch Manager’s absence.
Administration & Reporting
· Assist with cash handling, banking, and accurate completion of paperwork.
· Support reporting on sales, productivity, and performance metrics.
· Ensure systems are updated accurately and in a timely manner.
Skills & Experience
· Previous experience in a retail, automotive, or fast-fit environment (desirable).
· Supervisory or team-leading experience preferred.
· Strong customer service and communication skills.
· Commercial awareness with the ability to drive sales.
· Good organisational and time-management skills.
· Confident using IT systems and point-of-sale software.
