InterGame is looking for a highly organised individual to write, edit and oversee content across its various titles and news channels. The successful candidate will have strong writing, news reporting and editing skills. This is a senior role for an existing editor or seasoned reporter with experience in managing and overseeing client-related editorial.
Key responsibilities:
- Write and edit InterFun magazine, published three times a year.
- Take responsibility for co-ordinating and editing ‘supported editorial’ within Special Issues
- Take a lead role in annual publications published by InterGame on both the web and print
- Write news and features across InterGame’s different publications.
- Write and sub news for our e-newsletters.
- Liaise with the sales team regarding any ‘supported editorial’ or advertorial.
- Comply with media law, copyright and industry regulations.
- Attend and report on industry trade events, including trade shows abroad.
- Sub / proofread / edit to house style.
Essential requirements:
- Minimum two years’ experience writing for a printed or digital magazine / publication or news channel.
- Strong reporting, writing, editing and interpersonal skills.
- Well organised / ability to manage edit lists and copy.
- Capable of writing news articles accurately in a fast turnaround environment.
- Ability to nurture long-term relationships with key clients and industry experts.
- Great attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Able to travel internationally.
Desirable skills:
- NCTJ qualified.
- Shorthand.
- Track record in liaising with client-led content and overseeing client-led content
- Experience of using a content management system and posting content on social media.
- Page layout skills, ideally using InDesign.
