Overview
Seren Cars was launched in 2024 with the aim of providing excellent customer service focused upon airport transfers and transport to and from events.
Following a successful first two years, I am now looking for a part time driver to join with the existing team and help with the growth of the business.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely communication with the customer using WhatsApp or other appropriate communication tool to keep customer updated with travel schedule.
- Arrive at the designated pick up point ahead of time, ready to serve the customer.
- Assist customers with loading of luggage into the vehicle.
- Driving safely and considerately to deliver the customer to the required destination on time.
- Assist with the unloading of luggage from the vehicle.
- Taking of customer payments if prepayment hasn't been made.
- Track inbound flights using online app to ensure arrival at the airport at the appropriate time.
- Delivering excellent customer service, going into the airport arrivals hall to personally greet the customer, assist them with their luggage and escort them to the vehicle.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of journeys including logs of mileage and fuel usage.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Ensure delivery of added value customer services offered as standard by Seren Cars.
Experience
- As we're needing someone to start immediately, you should already hold a Private Hire Driver / Taxi Driver licence.
- You should already have a vehicle which is licenced to be used as a Private Hire Vehicle
- Previous experience as an airport transfer driver or taxi driver would be a benefit, but is not a requirement. However, because of the nature of the job you should enjoy long distance driving.
- Equally important (if not more so) is a mature, professional attitude mixed with a pleasant and friendly demeanour to ensure the customer always has a positive experience in the car. You should also have the desire to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers is essential, both face to face (in car) and in writing via mobile communications apps.
Requirements
- A full, UK driving licence is required
- You should already hold a Private Hire Driver / Taxi Driver licence.
- You should already have a vehicle which is licensed to be used as a Private Hire Vehicle
- General ability to drive safely and to meet UK law.
- Must have the ability to work independently whilst out on the road as well as part of a team to ensure delivery of outstanding customer service.
- Working Hours - There are no set working hours, however, this role particularly requires a person who is able and willing to work unsocial hours (typically between midnight and 4.00am) and also on Sundays
Earnings
The role presents the opportunity to earn between approximately £16.50 and £30.00 per hour and will vary on a job by job basis.

Training
I often do things differently to other taxi firms, so full training, support and guidance would be given to delivery the Seren Cars ethos.
