Summary
We are looking for a fully competent, self-sufficient LCV Technician to join our fast-paced Ellistown workshop. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a diverse range of heavy goods vehicles and trailer units from various manufacturers, ensuring every vehicle is prepared to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Repairs: Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and repairs on all makes of Light & Commercial Vehicles.
- Diagnostics & Electrics: Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults utilising third-party diagnostic equipment; interpret wiring diagrams and manuals.
- Admin & Parts: Liaise with departments to secure correct components timely; ensure all job cards, service sheets, and inspection sheets are completed clearly and accurately.
What You Bring to the Table
- Mechanical Knowledge: NVQ Level 3 in Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent) and/or Time-Served.
- Computer Literate: Capable of using a tablet for routine inspections and gathering photo evidence of defects
- Work Ethic: Highly motivated with a can do attitude to keep our customer vehicles on the road in a timely manner
- Detail-Oriented: An eagle eye for administrative details with job card write up and allocating used parts to the jobs
Working hours;
Monday - Friday 8:00-18:00
Alternating Saturdays 7:30-13:00
Pay: £41,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
