Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our vibrant residential care home team. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care to our residents, supporting their physical and emotional well-being. Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized care to residents, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and medication administration in accordance with care plans.
- Supervise and support junior healthcare assistants, fostering a positive team environment and promoting best practices in care delivery.
- Lead the development and review of individual care plans, ensuring they reflect residents’ evolving needs and preferences.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members to coordinate care and address concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care activities using IT systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Support residents’ emotional well-being through engaging conversations and activities that promote independence and happiness.
- Assist with driving responsibilities when necessary to support residents’ outings or appointments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a care home setting, ideally with senior care or elderly residents.
- Supervising experience demonstrating leadership qualities and team management skills.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, colleagues, and external professionals.
- Knowledge of care plans, medication procedures, and regulatory requirements within a healthcare environment.
- Ability to use IT systems for documentation and record-keeping accurately.
- Valid driving license is preferred for supporting transportation needs.
- A caring attitude combined with the ability to supervise staff confidently and professionally.

Pay: £13.20 per hour
Expected hours: 36.0 – 48.0 per week
