Main Duties & Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Business Development
- Develop and implement the UK and Ireland aftermarket sales strategy for the AL-KO (Brink) towbar range
- Identify, recruit and onboard B2B distribution partners to establish a strong national distribution network
- Develop annual sales plans and territory growth strategies to achieve revenue and market share objectives
- Identify new market opportunities, customer segments and routes to market to drive sustainable business growth
- Prepare sales forecasts and manage the sales pipeline to deliver agreed targets
Distributor Relationship Management
- Build, develop and maintain strong commercial relationships with distributors, wholesalers and key accounts
- Conduct regular business reviews with distribution partners to monitor performance, identify opportunities and agree growth plans
- Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing and promotional activities in line with company objectives
- Support distributors with product knowledge, marketing initiatives and technical information and where necessary product training
Customer Development
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across the automotive aftermarket
- Develop relationships with key installer groups, fleet operators and strategic customers where appropriate
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries and resolve commercial issues effectively
Sales Performance Management
- Deliver agreed sales revenue, margin, profitability and market share targets
- Support with the sales forecasting for AOP budgeting
- Complete accurate weekly, monthly and quarterly sales reporting
- Maintain accurate record of sales activity, pipeline opportunities and customer interactions
Market Engagement & Representation
- Facilitate aftermarket business events and serve as a key representative of AL-KO
- Monitor market trends customer needs and competitor activity; share insights internally and adjust sales strategies accordingly
- Support marketing initiatives, promotional activities and distributor marketing activities to increase product visibility
Distributors Onboarding & Customer Support
- Coordinate the onboarding of new distributors, including conducting product demonstrations where required
- Liaise with Order Management to ensure a seamless handover of new distributors and exceptional customer service
- Support with troubleshooting and technical escalations for customers when necessary
- Maintain up to date product knowledge and stay informed regarding new technical developments
Who are we looking for..
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for business growth
- Proven track record in B2B sales and business development
- Previous experience delivering ambitious sales targets, negotiating commercial agreements, sales forecasting and managing budgets
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP
- Knowledge of towing products and comfortable talking at a technical level
- Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, target-driven and comfortable working independently
- Full UK driving licence; willingness to travel across the UK & Ireland
