Commercial Vehicle Maintenance Experience is Essential. Minimum 3 Years Preferable
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on commercial vehicles using schematics and electrical testing tools
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty equipment such as excavators, forklifts, and trucks
- Fabricate and modify parts using welding, soldering, and hand tools to meet specific repair needs
- Interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot electrical systems effectively
- Use power tools and hand tools to assemble, disassemble, and repair vehicle components with precision
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
- Repair or replace mechanical components including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies while maintaining high-quality workmanship
Requirements
- Proven experience in electrical systems, welding, fabrication, and mechanical repairs within the commercial vehicle sector
- Strong knowledge of schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical troubleshooting techniques
- Hands-on experience with heavy machinery such as excavators and forklifts is highly desirable
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and welding apparatus
- Ability to lift heavy components safely during maintenance or repair tasks
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulics
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs
- Prior experience working with equipment repair or maintenance in a fast-paced environment is preferred
Pay: £35,000.00-£39,800.00 per year
