To support learners with essential skills, study skills and wellbeing needs, enabling them to complete their college journey and progress into further study or employment.
The role involves delivering high-quality support on a one-to-one and group basis, while working collaboratively with curriculum teams to enhance student engagement, retention and achievement.
- Provide support to learners in literacy, numeracy, digital skills, ESOL, study skills and wellbeing
- Deliver targeted sessions and one-to-one support across a range of settings including in-class and drop-in environments
- Monitor and track learner progress, supporting those at risk of disengagement
- Support the delivery and administration of the Wales Essential Skills Toolkit (WEST)
- Provide wellbeing support, including responding to safeguarding concerns and supporting vulnerable learners
- Work collaboratively with curriculum teams and external agencies to support learner success
- Contribute to student engagement activities, KPIs and continuous improvement
- You are passionate about supporting learners to succeed and overcome barriers to learning
- You have experience working in a supportive, pastoral or skills-based role
- You are organised, proactive and able to manage a varied workload
- You communicate effectively and build positive relationships with learners and colleagues
- You are adaptable, with a flexible and learner-focused approach
