We are looking for a DT Lead, Single Systems – CMC Development Sciences who is collaborative, solution-oriented, and proactive to join our Digital Technology team in our office in Slough, in the United Kingdom.
In this role, you will own a portfolio of Industrial Single Systems supporting CMC Development Sciences environments. Single Systems are localized technical environments composed of dedicated workstations, applications, and connected technologies supporting laboratory instruments, scientific equipment, and operational assets.
You will ensure these systems remain secure, reliable, compliant, and aligned with business needs throughout their lifecycle while supporting digital transformation initiatives, operational excellence, and innovation.
You will work at the intersection of Digital Technology, science, engineering, and business operations, ensuring that systems meet the highest standards of cybersecurity, data integrity, operational resilience, and GxP compliance.
Who you'll work with
You will work closely with CMC Development Sciences scientists, Functional System Owners, business stakeholders, vendors, and Digital Technology colleagues to deliver reliable and compliant digital solutions.
You will collaborate with experts across infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud services, service management, application delivery, validation, and the Industrial Squad to ensure systems are aligned with DT standards, governance requirements, and service expectations.
As a trusted DT partner, you will help stakeholders balance innovation, compliance, operational excellence, risk management, and long-term sustainability of the supported landscape.
What you'll do

Own and manage a portfolio of Industrial Single Systems, ensuring secure, reliable, compliant, and efficient operation throughout their lifecycle

Act as the primary DT point of contact for systems within scope, ensuring alignment between business priorities, DT roadmaps, governance requirements, and operational needs

Partner with Functional System Owners, business stakeholders, portfolio roles, delivery teams, vendors, and Digital Technology functions to assess demand, prioritize initiatives, and define implementation roadmaps

Lead solution design and coordinate implementation, integration, qualification, validation, testing, and transition into operation for new and existing systems

Ensure systems comply with GxP, cybersecurity, quality, regulatory, and service management requirements while maintaining data integrity, resilience, and business continuity

Collaborate with vendors, DT teams, and service component owners to resolve technical issues, optimize system performance, and continuously improve supported environments

Drive lifecycle management activities including upgrades, maintenance, risk management, remediation planning, technical modernization, and future system evolution

Synthesize complex technical, operational, compliance, and business information into compelling narratives, executive communications, and actionable recommendations that enable informed decision-making at leadership levels

Explore and leverage emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation capabilities, to improve productivity, operational efficiency, and business value while maintaining compliance and governance expectations

Contribute to the continuous improvement of DT governance, delivery models, standards, and operating practices supporting the Single Systems landscape
Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

5+ years of experience in Information Technology and technology project delivery

Strong technical background in Windows-based computerized systems and DT-managed environments, with the ability to manage and sustain secure, reliable, and compliant solutions

Strong knowledge of application environments, Windows operating systems, workstation technologies, infrastructure services, networking, servers, storage, and cloud platforms

Solid understanding of identity and access management, cybersecurity, data integrity, and operational compliance principles

Experience with qualification, validation, and regulated environments; experience in GxP environments is considered a strong advantage

Ability to translate business and operational requirements into secure, sustainable, and compliant technology solutions

Strong strategic thinking and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear business insights and decision-ready recommendations for senior leaders and executive stakeholders

Demonstrated interest in emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, and digital innovation, with the ability to identify practical business applications

Experience supporting laboratory, engineering, development sciences, manufacturing, or industrial environments is considered a strong plus

Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or another regulated environment is considered a plus

Fluent in English. French and/or Dutch is considered an advantage
