Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Bakery Supervisor to lead our front-of-house team in a small, busy café environment. This is a hands-on, floor-based role focused on running shifts, supporting staff, Closing the establishment, and ensuring excellent customer service.
You will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day operation of the café, maintaining high standards, ensuring all cleaning standards are up to date and creating a welcoming atmosphere for both customers and team members.
Duties
- Lead and supervise shifts, ensuring smooth daily operations on the shop floor
- Act as a main point of contact for staff during service, supporting with problem-solving and decision-making
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and drinks as part of daily service
- Deliver and uphold high standards of customer service
- Handle end-of-day procedures, including cashing up and completing required paperwork
- Support and motivate team members to work efficiently and collaboratively
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and food safety standards in front-of-house areas
- Monitor stock levels of packaging and front-of-house supplies; assist with weekly ordering
- Assist with opening and closing duties
Requirements
Proven experience in food service environments within the Hospitality industry
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within hospitality, retail, or a café environment
- Trained barista experience preferred
- Ability to prepare a range of coffee drinks to a high standard
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Confident handling cash, tills, and end-of-day reporting
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and resolve issues quickly
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive, hands-on approach and positive attitude
- Passion for delivering great customer service
