Due to continued growth and expansion, Optimized Metal Fabrication is looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to join our team.
We specialise in delivering high-quality bespoke metal fabrication and installation projects across a wide range of sectors, including commercial, industrial, architectural and specialist engineering. With investment in the latest manufacturing technology and a reputation for quality, we're looking for someone who can help deliver projects from enquiry through to successful completion.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will take ownership of multiple fabrication and installation projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Working closely with our estimating, design, production and installation teams, you'll be the key point of contact for our customers throughout each project.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from order through to completion.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Produce and maintain project programmes and schedules.
- Attend client meetings and site visits.
- Coordinate design approvals and technical queries.
- Work with production to ensure materials, drawings and labour are available when required.
- Monitor project costs, variations and profitability.
- Manage procurement of specialist items and subcontract services.
- Ensure projects comply with health & safety and quality standards.
- Identify and resolve project risks before they impact delivery.
- Produce regular progress reports for management and clients.
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys building strong customer relationships.
Ideally you'll have:
- Previous Project Management experience within metal fabrication, structural steel, architectural metalwork or a similar engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of fabrication drawings and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple live projects simultaneously.
- Commercial awareness and budget management experience.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
