About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on Alloy Wheel Refurbishment Technician to join our us. If you enjoy working with your hands, take pride in a job well done, and have an interest in cars, this could be the perfect role for you.
You'll be responsible for bringing damaged and worn alloy wheels back to life, helping us deliver high-quality results that keep our customers happy. Whether you already have experience in wheel refurbishment or are keen to learn, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Removing tyres and thoroughly cleaning wheels before refurbishment.
- Using hand and power tools to strip, sand, repair, and prepare wheel surfaces.
- Applying primer, paint, and lacquer to create a high-quality finish.
- Safely handling and moving wheels and tyres as part of your daily work.
- Checking completed wheels to ensure they meet our quality standards.
- Keeping your work area clean, tidy, and organised.
Experience
- Good practical skills and confidence using hand and power tools.
- Previous experience in wheel refurbishment, automotive work, or a similar hands-on role is an advantage.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- A strong eye for detail and pride in producing quality work.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment.
- Reliable, hardworking, and a good team player..
Desirable Skills
- Experience working with both powder coating and wet paint systems, including surface preparation, application techniques, and achieving high-quality finishes
- Forklift licence or other workshop-related qualifications would be beneficial.
- Experience operating workshop machinery, including alloy wheel lathes used for diamond-cut wheel refurbishment
- Understanding of diamond-cut alloy wheel repair processes and machine setup.
- Knowledge of wheel balancing, tyre fitting, and other related workshop practices
