As we continue to expand our environmental impact, we are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Recycling Operative to join our busy team and help us keep driving green solutions forward.
The Role
As a Recycling Operative, you will be at the heart of our sustainability operations. Your main focus will be processing and recycling commercial flooring waste, alongside various plastics and other materials, ensuring they are prepared correctly for reuse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sorting, grading, and processing commercial flooring waste and various types of plastics.
- Operating recycling machinery, balers, and shredders safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles containing recyclable materials.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and yard environment.
- Conducting quality checks to ensure zero contamination in the Recofloor and plastic streams.
- Adhering strictly to health and safety regulations at all times.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Previous experience in a recycling, waste management, or warehouse environment is preferred, but not essential—the right attitude is what counts!
- Physical Fitness: This is a hands-on, physically demanding role that involves lifting and moving heavy materials.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot contamination and separate materials accurately.
- Team Player: A reliable individual with a strong work ethic who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Licenses: A forklift truck (FLT) license is required. Also due to the location, you would need to have a driving license.
