Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care within a reputable care home setting. Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality personal care to residents, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Supervise and support junior care staff, ensuring the delivery of consistent and compassionate care.
- Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans in collaboration with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals.
- Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, recognising any changes or concerns and reporting them promptly.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, adhering to legal and organisational standards.
- Foster a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for all residents.
- Assist with organising activities that promote social engagement and mental stimulation.
- Support residents with medication management as per prescribed instructions.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in senior or elder care within a care home environment.
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
- Strong communication skills to liaise confidently with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to adapt approaches based on individual needs.
- Driving licence preferred for assisting with outings or appointments outside the care home.
- IT literacy for maintaining accurate records and documentation efficiently.
- Compassionate nature with excellent organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Leadership qualities to oversee daily operations while maintaining high standards of care.
