We are seeking a skilled Car Mechanic / Fitter to join our team. Duties
- Diagnosing mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals
- Conducting routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment
- Assembling components and fitting parts accurately according to specifications
- Utilising hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and modifications
- Repairing or replacing faulty parts, including engines, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
- Performing equipment repair tasks to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency
- Assisting with the installation of new systems or components as required
- Ensuring all work complies with safety standards and organisational procedures
- Maintaining detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used
- Providing excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly
Skills
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical diagrams
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems and machinery
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools
- Experience in assembly, disassembly, and fitting of vehicle parts or machinery components
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for different types of vehicles or equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or installations
- Good customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Capable of troubleshooting complex mechanical problems quickly and accurately
- Experience in equipment repair, welding, and general mechanical servicing is highly desirable
