Job description: Production Coordinator
Scenic Escape are based just outside St Neots in Cambridgeshire countryside. We specialise in scenic builds for a variety of applications – filming, corporate events and exhibitions to name a few. As a company we have grown hugely over the past year and are now looking to recruit further.
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Production Coordinator to oversee project administration operations. The successful candidate will play a vital role in coordinating production activities, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining high standards of quality and communication. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong organisational aptitude and experience in logistics and coordination to contribute to a growing and dynamic team.
Duties
* Coordinate and monitor logistics schedules to ensure smooth event execution.
- Book and organise accommodation for staff on events.
- Create, organise and take ownership of purchase order fulfilment for suppliers.
- Create crew shift timing schedules combining additional information such as catering and dietary requirements together with hotel allocations.
- Communicate with full time staff and freelance labour on the lead up to a live event, acting as a central hub.
- Communicate clear production briefs to vendors and staff.
- Liaise between different departments within the business to ensure smooth communication and operational continuity.
- Keep database up to date with all information.
- Take part in weekly ops meetings to look ahead, highlight and solve pinch points.
- Work closely with the project management team to deliver events.
- Assist the project management team with on-site projects of scale and be the go to person for crew welfare and general crew queries.
- Track and work within allocated budgets, flagging any concerns early.
- Handle and deliver relevant information for post-event reporting.
- Supplying planning sheets and RAMS to crew.
- Always ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Skills
* Full UK driving licence.
- Organisational, multitasking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong people skills and the ability to talk confidently.
- Understand the flexible nature of the events industry.
- IT Skills essential - Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Able to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Problem solving ability and ability to adapt to last minute requests and project scope creep.
