Job Title: Van Driver
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Van Driver to join our team on a part-time basis (20 hours per week). The Van Driver will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials to various locations. The ideal candidate will hold a valid driver’s licence, have a clean driving record and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate and drive company vans to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all items are securely strapped down to prevent damage during transit.
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and ensure vans are in good working condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Skills:
- Proven experience as a Van Driver or similar role.
- Ability to drive and navigate various routes.
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
- Capable of heavy lifting when loading/unloading cargo.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred.
