Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Care Home Nurse (RGN/RMN) to join our caring team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional nursing care within a residential setting, ensuring the well-being and safety of residents. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care tailored to individual needs, promoting comfort and independence.
- Administer medications accurately in accordance with prescribed protocols, ensuring safety and compliance.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date medical records for each resident, documenting assessments, treatments, and progress.
- Monitor residents’ health status regularly, identifying changes or concerns promptly and reporting them to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and review personalized care plans that reflect residents’ evolving needs.
- Uphold infection control standards and ensure a safe environment for residents and staff at all times.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, fostering a positive team environment focused on continuous improvement.
Skills
- Proven experience in patient care within a care home or similar healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and medical procedures relevant to nursing practice.
- Proficiency in medication administration, including understanding dosages, contraindications, and potential side effects.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to assess residents’ conditions accurately and respond appropriately with compassion and professionalism.
- Registered Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) qualification is essential; additional certifications are advantageous.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of care while adhering to regulatory guidelines and best practices.
