Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pub Cook to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced pub environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a range of pub-style dishes, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Assist in the organisation and management of daily food preparation tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Follow recipes accurately and adapt as necessary to meet customer preferences or special dietary requirements
- Ensure all food is stored correctly, adhering to health and safety standards
- Support the serving staff by providing timely and consistent meal portions during busy periods
- Monitor stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment to management
- Uphold high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety within the kitchen environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or pub setting is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary practices
- Ability to work as part of a team in a lively environment
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
