LOGISTEED UK Limited is seeking an exceptional Senior HSE Manager to lead, develop and drive our Health, Safety and Environmental strategy across our UK business.
This is a high-profile leadership role with responsibility for all aspects of HSE across multiple UK locations, leading a team of six HSE professionals and partnering closely with operational and senior leadership teams to ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance and employee wellbeing.
The Opportunity
Reporting into the head of HSE, the Senior HSE Manager will provide both strategic and operational leadership for Health, Safety and Environmental management across the UK business.
We are looking for someone who can go beyond compliance – a visible and influential leader who can inspire a positive safety culture, drive continuous improvement and ensure HSE excellence is embedded throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities

About You
You will be an experienced HSE leader with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation, from shop floor colleagues through to senior management.
Summary of Main Duties

13 Work proactively with managers and other key staff to establish and maintain a programme of continuous improvement in the management of Health and Safety within their areas of responsibility.
14 Ensure that rigorous risk assessment are in place to identify hazards and to ensure that appropriate control measures are in place.
15 Maintain a record of all risk assessments and monitor progress of actions required to implement effective control measures, for risks identified.
16 Discuss areas for improvement with relevant staff and/or external bodies and agree appropriate corrective action.
17 Assist with fire risk assessments according to an agreed schedule and in line with legal requirements.
18 Liaise with Occupational Health Service staff on health surveillance where a risk assessment has identified a need. Maintain appropriate records.
19 Provide staff with comprehensive and relevant information and training on LOGISTEED UK Health and Safety systems and procedures, including advising on equipment purchase and workplace practices.
20 Maintain the accident and ‘near-miss’ database and prepare reports on Health and Safety performance, using statistical and other analytical tools. Inform the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) of accidents or incidents that require notification.
21 Support the planning and implementation of fire drills and other evacuation procedures, e.g. as part of each site's Emergency Evacuation Plan/Arrangements.
22 Ensure that appropriate records are maintained in compliance with legal requirements, e.g. COSHH, and that necessary notices are displayed and reviewed.
23 Design and deliver training sessions on key areas of LOGISTEED UK activity in relation to Health and Safety, and support the delivery of other training programmes, including new staff induction and Manager training.
24 Be a member of and support site Health and Safety Committees and actively promote a safe environment throughout all locations.
25 Attend regular update training on Health and Safety legislation and the application of key policies in a warehouse environment and advise LOGISTEED UK management of key developments and areas for change/improvement.
26 Ensure compliance with, and implementation of, all LOGISTEED UK policies and procedures that impact on the delivery of effective Health and Safety systems, including Data Protection, the Single Equality Scheme and Safeguarding.
27 To drive Health & Safety awareness and maintain visibility on the shop floor.
28 To relate Health and Safety issues/performance issues to supervision and Operators through briefs and Safety Flash distribution.
29 Conducting regular Audits.
30 Any other duties as covered by your contract of employment.
