Equans is looking for an Fabric Craftsperson to join our team based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. There is also an on-call rota. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
Carry out all works in compliance with EQUANS KPI’s and contract
Good engineering / carpentry / flooring knowledge are required
Good painting / decorating skills are required
General building skills are favourable
Strong technical understanding of fire doors
Work with minimum supervision or within a team to carry out routine maintenance, repair and cleaning activity across the site
Integrate and communicate effectively with contractors and electrical, mechanical and building services staff
Carry out general duties including support by manual labour for relocations and moves, tidying and cleaning Estates areas and Plant rooms
Drive the company vehicle as required to meet the needs of the service
Participate in the Equans Mental Health on call Rota
Respond promptly and efficiently to breakdowns, blockages and other building fabric requirements

Recognised qualifications in a relevant discipline
Driving license – Essential
General knowledge of building fabric maintenance works to include but not limited to Carpentry, Flooring, Plastering, Painting, and Fire doors
Previous knowledge or experience working in an NHS environment would be advantageous
This role includes a DBS Standard check therefore ability to pass is essential.
