Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker preferably with welding experience to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for precise fabrication of sheet metal components, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained throughout production. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in welding and metalwork to contribute to our specialised projects.
Duties
- Perform TIG welding on various sheet metal components, adhering to technical specifications and safety standards are advantageous but not essential.
- Fabricate, cut, and assemble sheet metal parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Utilise basic maths skills to measure and mark materials accurately for cutting and welding.
- Conduct quality checks on completed welds and assemblies to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Assist in the setup of fabrication equipment and tools as required for different projects.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for fabrication tasks.
- Strong understanding of sheet metal properties and fabrication techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Competence in basic maths related to measurements, angles, and material calculations.
- Experience in assembly processes involving sheet metal components.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality output.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Pay: £15.00-£18.50 per hour
