What You'll Do
As a Healthcare Assistant, you'll deliver high-quality care tailored to each resident's individual needs by:
- Providing compassionate personal care while promoting dignity, choice and independence.
- Supporting residents with daily living activities and emotional wellbeing.
- Working alongside nurses and the multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent care.
- Administering medication and carrying out clinical tasks following competency-based training.
- Maintaining accurate care records and supporting personalised care plans.
- Encouraging residents to take part in activities that enhance their wellbeing.
- Building positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
- Helping create a safe, respectful and caring environment.
You'll also complete the Royal Star & Garter Healthcare Assistant Competency Framework, with opportunities to develop specialist skills in dementia care, medication management, tissue viability, oral care and enhanced clinical procedures.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for caring, motivated Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about delivering exceptional care.
You will have:
- At least 2 years' Healthcare Assistant experience.
- Excellent communication and written English skills.
- A compassionate, resident-focused approach.
- Good IT skills and confidence using electronic care records.
- A willingness to learn and develop through ongoing training.
- The ability to work flexibly as part of a multidisciplinary team.
