Job Description:
he company is seeking a qualified and experienced Solicitor to support its UK office in handling motor claims matters, legal documentation, and insurance-related case management. The role requires hands-on knowledge of UK motor claims, claims handling processes, liability assessment, legal drafting, and coordination with insurers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of motor claims matters from initial instruction through to resolution, ensuring files are progressed efficiently and deadlines are met.
- Draft, review, and prepare legal documents, claim-related correspondence, witness statements, file notes, and other case documentation.
- Review liability, evidence, policy coverage, quantum, and procedural issues in motor-related claims.
- Liaise with insurers, brokers, claimants, defendants, clients, experts, and external legal representatives where required.
- Advise internally on claim strategy, legal risk, settlement approach, and documentation standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on case management and claims systems.
- Ensure all matters are handled in accordance with applicable UK legal and regulatory standards.
- Support pre-litigation and, where relevant, litigated motor claims work.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with a valid practising certificate.
- Proven experience in motor claims, motor insurance, personal injury, recovery, or related insurance litigation work.
- Strong working knowledge of UK insurance claims handling processes and legal documentation.
- Ability to manage an independent caseload and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent drafting, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- High attention to detail and strong file management capability.
- Proficiency in MS Office and case management/claims systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 to 3+ years’ relevant post-qualification or equivalent motor claims experience.
- Experience handling insurer files, RTA matters, recoveries, credit hire, or defendant motor work.
- Familiarity with pre-litigation and litigated claims environments.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong legal drafting and documentation skills.
- Sound judgment on liability and claim evaluation.
- Good stakeholder management and client communication.
- Organized, proactive, and commercially aware.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional standards.
Employment Terms:
