We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Driver/Supervisor to join our team. This vital role combines professional driving with supervisory responsibilities, ensuring timely deliveries while overseeing safety, compliance, and team coordination. Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for delivery of meat and poultry products to various locations.
- Supervise daily delivery schedules, ensuring on-time performance and route efficiency.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles, checking for safety issues and maintenance needs.
- Oversee warehouse activities related to loading, unloading, and inventory management.
- Communicate clearly with team members, clients, and dispatch to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly.
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of products during loading and unloading processes.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle records, and safety documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver with a strong track record in commercial driving.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in warehouse operations, including heavy lifting and manual handling.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading tasks.
- Knowledge of driving regulations and safety procedures applicable to commercial vehicles.
- Prior experience supervising or leading team activities is preferred but not essential.
