This rare opportunity doesn't come about every day! We are looking for a Head Chef with a passion for producing quality, fresh food and showcasing local produce, as well as their own skillset, to join our small kitchen team in our country pub.
The ideal candidate will work across all areas and have the ability to confidently manage the tightly-knit team of chefs. The Head Chef will manage the kitchen budget (and be remunerated by way of monthly bonus), ensure that all EHO compliance is adhered to and the kitchen team are trained to manage the kitchen in the Head Chefs absence.
We are looking for someone that thrives in a small team, who can consistently deliver freshly prepared, locally sourced food and who can manage their time as well as their stock. Our ethos is all about seasonality and sustainability therefore the Head Chef will devise menus to reflect this.
The right candidate will be responsible for the following:
·Fresh food preparation
·Embracing our food culture and collaborating with the kitchen team to create regularly changing menus.
·Setting and reviewing GP margins.
·Ordering to a budget
·Stock control
·Meeting COSHH and HACAP requirements.
Availability over the seasonal holiday periods is a must.
What are we offering?
For the right candidate, we are offering a generous salary from £35000 and a work-life balance of a 45 hour working week and a fixed monthly rota.

Qualifications
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques
- Proven leadership skills with experience in team management and supervising kitchen staff
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Previous experience in a hospitality environment, particularly within restaurants
- Ability to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen setting
