Langdon Court Manor is an historic 16th century estate set within rolling countryside near Wembury Bay. Following significant redevelopment, the venue is entering an exciting new era as a premier destination for high end weddings, boutique stays, and exceptional events. We are seeking an accomplished General Manager to take full ownership of operations, service excellence, and commercial performance.
· Role Overview
As General Manager and Head of Household you will be the driving force behind the venue’s daily operations guest experience, and commercial success. This is a handson leadership role suited to someone who thrives in luxury hospitality and understands the precision required to deliver unforgettable weddings, events and hotel experience.
Key Responsibilities
·Operational Leadership — Oversee all departments including weddings, events, rooms, F&B and estate management.
·Team Development — Recruit, inspire, and mentor a motivated guest focused team.
·Commercial Strategy — Drive occupancy, event sales, profitability and brand growth.
·Guest Experience — Maintain exceptional standards across every touchpoint.
·Stakeholder Collaboration — Work closely with owners, suppliers and partners to support ongoing investment and development.
About You
·Proven leadership in luxury hospitality, weddings and high end commercial or private events.
·Strong commercial acumen with confidence managing budgets and P&L's.
·A natural host with exceptional communication and people skills.
·Calm, organised, and solutions focused even under pressure.
·Passionate about creating memorable experiences and elevating a venue’s reputation
You will have a formal hospitality related degree or similar as alternative a degree with relevant experience in a similar style operation
