About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and organised Accounts & HR Support Assistant to join our team. This is a varied role providing day-to-day administrative support to the Accounts Department, while also assisting the HR team with a range of tasks as required.
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a busy office environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Support
- Processing purchase invoices and supplier payments
- Assisting with sales invoicing and credit control activities
- Reconciling accounts and maintaining accurate financial records
- Supporting month-end administrative processes
- Managing expense claims and filing financial documentation
- Responding to routine accounts-related queries
HR Support
- Assisting with recruitment administration, including arranging interviews
- Preparing employee documentation and maintaining personnel records
- Supporting onboarding and induction processes
- Updating HR systems and ensuring records are accurate and confidential
- Assisting with training administration and employee communications
- Providing general administrative support to the HR function as required
General Administration
- Handling incoming correspondence and telephone enquiries
- Maintaining filing systems and company records
- Supporting other departments with administrative tasks when needed
- Assisting with ad hoc projects and office duties
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous administrative experience, ideally within accounts, finance, HR, or a similar office environment
- Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Has strong IT skills, including Google Drive applications
- Can handle confidential information with discretion
- Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills
- Is able to prioritise workload and work independently
- Has a positive, flexible approach and is willing to support different areas of the business
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience using accounting software
- Experience supporting HR administration
- Knowledge of payroll processes (advantageous but not essential)
