Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. Duties
- Assist with meal preparation and food safety procedures to ensure compliance with hygiene standards
- Support kitchen staff with basic cooking tasks and ingredient organisation
- Help with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
- Organise storage areas and ensure ingredients are stored correctly and labelled appropriately
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to uphold a safe working environment
- Assist with cleaning and closing
Experience
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food service is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Familiarity with meal preparation, food safety standards, and basic cooking techniques is desirable
- Experience working in a busy kitchen environment or with culinary tasks will be beneficial
- A keen interest and willingness to learn new skills in food preparation and serving roles

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
