We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Restaurant/Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering excellent guest service, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.
Duties
- Welcome guests warmly and take orders accurately in a timely manner
- Serve food and beverages with professionalism and attentiveness
- Assist in food preparation and presentation as required, adhering to food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, bar, and kitchen stations
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system and perform basic maths calculations
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety procedures
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow
- Clear tables promptly and assist with setting up for upcoming service periods
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing questions or concerns courteously
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or bar work is essential of at least 3 years in the industry.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with good time management abilities to handle busy service times effectively
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities
- Basic maths skills for handling payments accurately
- Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key
