Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Nurse or Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, supporting dental procedures, and assisting the dental team in delivering excellent service. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Provide patient care before, during, and after treatments, including explaining procedures and post-care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems and ensure confidentiality at all times
- Support with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and managing patient correspondence
- Uphold high standards of hygiene and organisation within the practice environment
- Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Assist in maintaining a smooth workflow within the practice by coordinating appointments and liaising with team members
Experience
- Previous experience in a healthcare or dental setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for Trainee Dental Nurses
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Basic IT skills to manage patient records and practice management software
- Good organisational skills to prioritise tasks efficiently and maintain a tidy workspace
- Patient care experience or background in nursing is advantageous but not mandatory for trainees; a willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to work well within a team and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
