Join a charity that's making a real difference
At Crossroads Gloucestershire, we've been supporting people across the county for over 25 years. As a specialist charity, we're passionate about helping people living with frailty, ill health or disability, as well as supporting their unpaid carers, to live safer, healthier and more independent lives.
We're looking for an organised, proactive and compassionate Care Coordinator / Scheduler to join our Operations Team. If you enjoy problem-solving, thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in ensuring people receive the care they need, we'd love to hear from you.
This is a rewarding role where your planning and coordination skills will have a direct impact on the quality of care our clients receive every day.
What you'll be doing
As our Care Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our care services run smoothly by:
- Creating and managing efficient weekly staff rotas to ensure every client receives their scheduled care.
- Coordinating care visits in line with individual care plans, service agreements and contractual requirements.
- Responding quickly to changes in staffing or client needs to maintain high-quality, reliable care.
- Working closely with care staff, clients and the wider Operations Team to ensure effective communication.
- Participating in our on-call service on a rota basis.
- Providing hands-on care support when required, particularly in emergency or exceptional situations.
About you
You'll be someone who enjoys organising people and solving problems, while remaining calm under pressure. You will also have:
- Previous experience coordinating staff rotas or scheduling services within defined timescales.
- A good standard of education.
- A sound understanding of CQC regulations and the delivery of regulated care services.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage changing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good IT skills; experience of Nourish CarePlanner would be an advantage.
- A practical, proactive approach to problem-solving.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy environment.
- A positive, flexible attitude and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
- A full UK driving licence, access to your own vehicle and business insurance.
