Care is Central is searching for an innovative, supportive and pro-active Quality Improvement Lead to join our Quality Team as the organisation continues to grow.
The Quality Improvement Lead is responsible for driving continuous improvement, service development, and innovation across our adult social care services throughout Central Bedfordshire. The role works proactively with operational teams to improve service performance, enhance outcomes, manage quality risks, and implement innovative solutions that support excellence in care delivery and outcomes.
This is a practical and hands-on role, requiring an individual who is passionate about supporting services to flourish. The successful candidate will be prepared to work alongside teams at all levels, providing support, challenge and expertise, and taking a proactive approach to delivering meaningful and lasting improvements.
What We Are Offering:
- 40 hours per week, permanent role
- Predominantly Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend, evening and night time working (to support our teams working around the clock)
- A starting salary of £39,200 per annum

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead quality improvement and service development programmes.
- Support services following inspections and quality reviews.
- Drive organisational learning from complaints, feedback, and quality trends.
- Provide practical support to services requiring improvement or crisis intervention.
- Lead innovation projects, new systems implementation, and service transformation initiatives.
- Develop quality assurance tools, dashboards, and performance frameworks.
- Build positive relationships with managers, commissioners, regulators, and external partners.
- Monitor quality risks and support services to achieve sustained improvement.
The Right Candidate Will Have:
- At least 2 years' experience in a management or leadership role (Team Leader level or above) within CQC-regulated adult social care services.
- A proven track record of driving quality improvement, service development, or transformational change within care settings.
- Excellent leadership, communication, project management, and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to influence and inspire others.
- Strong professional curiosity, analytical thinking, and attention to detail, with a commitment to identifying opportunities for improvement.
- A genuine passion for helping services succeed through a supportive, collaborative, and non-judgemental approach.
- The ability to coach, mentor, and develop colleagues, building capability and confidence through hands-on support and constructive feedback.
- The flexibility and resilience to work independently across multiple locations, responding effectively to changing priorities.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing demands and prioritise workload in line with operational and strategic objectives.
- A full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across services (travel expenses reimbursed).

- Have excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Be caring, positive, and team-oriented
- Complete an Enhanced DBS check (paid by us)
