Material Handler Operator (Nights)
Location: Ilkeston
Hours: Monday to Friday, 5:00pm – 2:00am
Salary: £13.50 per hour (£37,668 per annum based on a 45-hour week, including night shift allowance)
Shift Allowance: £20 per night worked
Overtime: Paid at time and a quarter after 40 hours, with additional overtime opportunities available.
We're looking for an experienced and reliable Material Handler Operator to join our busy night shift recycling operation.
The Role
- Operating Liebherr material handlers safely and efficiently.
- Feeding processing equipment and loading HGVs.
- Stockpile management and material movement across site.
- Carrying out daily machine checks and reporting defects.
- Working closely with the operations team to maintain production targets while operating safely and efficiently.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience operating Liebherr material handlers is preferred but not essential.
- NPORS or CPCS material handler certification is desirable. We will also consider applicants who have been trained by an NPORS-accredited trainer, although formal certification is not essential.
- Experience working in a recycling, waste, scrap, quarry or similar heavy industrial environment would be advantageous.
