Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dog Walker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional care and exercise for our clients' dogs, ensuring their safety and well-being during walks. Responsibilities
- Conduct daily walks with dogs of various sizes and temperaments, ensuring they are exercised appropriately
- Monitor dogs during walks to guarantee their safety and behaviour management
- Provide basic animal care, and attend to individual needs
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including cleaning up after dogs during walks
- Build positive relationships with clients by providing updates on their pets’ behaviour and wellbeing
- Follow specific instructions from pet owners regarding handling and care routines
- Report any health concerns or behavioural issues observed during walks to the appropriate personnel
Requirements
- Previous kennel experience or animal care experience is desirable but not essential; a genuine love for animals is essential
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and colleagues
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes, including those requiring heavy lifting or special handling
- Physically fit with the stamina to walk multiple dogs over extended periods in various weather conditions
- Responsible, punctual, organised, and able to follow safety protocols diligently
