About you
We are looking for someone with previous experience in decarbonisation, renewable energy or building surveying, particularly experience surveying properties for ASHP and/or solar PV.
You will ideally have:
- Previous practical experience carrying out ASHP and/or solar surveys.
- Good knowledge of residential properties, heating systems and/or renewable technologies.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate survey reports.

- Site Visit Efficiency: Average number of surveys completed per day, accounting for travel time across the Derby/Nottingham area.
Quality & Technical Accuracy
- First-Time Fix/Right-First-Time Accuracy: Percentage of survey reports that require zero revisions or additional site visits due to missing or inaccurate technical data (e.g., missed heat loss calculations, incorrect electrical infrastructure assessment).
- Technical Compliance Rate: 100% adherence to current industry standards and regulations for ASHP and solar PV installations, as verified by post-survey quality audits.
- Issue Identification Rate: Success rate in identifying critical installation constraints during the survey phase, preventing costly "failed installations" after the team arrives on-site.
Customer & Stakeholder Satisfaction
- Customer Satisfaction Score (CSAT): Feedback score from customers regarding the surveyor's professionalism, clarity of communication, and the experience during the site visit.
- Internal Stakeholder Feedback: Periodic ratings from the installation teams on the quality, detail, and usability of the handover information provided by the surveyor.
Professional Development
- Certification/Training Currency: Completion of ongoing training or professional development modules to maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving decarbonisation technologies and building regulations.
What we offer
- £35,000 – £40,000 salary, depending on experience.
- Full-time position with a growing company.
- Opportunity to work within the expanding decarbonisation and renewable energy sector.
- Varied role involving both technical surveying and customer interaction.
- Career development opportunities.
