Brewery Assistant (Zero Hours Contract)

Contract Type: Zero Hours
Hours: Primarily Fridays, with additional weekend work available
Burton Bridge Brewery is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Brewery Assistant to join our team on a zero-hours basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the brewing industry and gain hands-on experience in a traditional brewery environment.
The role will initially focus on cask washing on Fridays and weekends, with opportunities for the right candidate to learn and develop across other areas of brewery operations on other days.
Key Responsibilities
- Cask washing and preparation
- Assisting with brewery housekeeping and general duties
- Delivering casks and brewery products when required
- Supporting production activities as experience grows
Development Opportunities
We are keen to invest in someone who is eager to learn. Over time, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain experience in:
- Tank operations
- Cask racking
- CIP (Cleaning in Place) procedures
- Cellar and packaging operations
- Brewing processes and production activities

- Positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
- Full driving licence preferred
- Availability every Friday and flexibility to work weekends when required for tank operations
